About
Skill-It started as an idea in a Stanford dorm lounge, when Andrew wanted to learn to play the guitar. He wondered who else in his dorm could teach him to play. No one came to mind, but by asking a few friends, he realized that there were, in fact, lots of people in his very dorm who could teach him to play!
As he learned to play the guitar from a dorm-mate, he began thinking about all of the other times when he's wanted to learn something or when other friends have wanted to learn something. Sometimes it was for homework and other times for fun. Their community was an incredible source of talent and skills that even busy Stanford students were willing to take time to share.
Skill-It is the result of that one day in the dorm lounge.
Mikala and Camilo joined the team because they'd had similar experiences with wanting to share skills with friends.
